"Maintenance Technician required for busy Care Home based in Castlemilk, Glasgow. 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7.

The Maintenance Technician Role:

Working as an integral member of the team you will work closely to ensure the residents and staff have a safe environment. The role can be both physically and mentally demanding, the ideal candidate will be expected to understand the empathy required with elderly people.

Responsibilities:

* Provide first line quality maintenance and repairs to the home
* Act on maintenance requests from Management & Residents in a timely manner
* Ensure all maintenance is carried out in a professional and efficient manner
* Carry out preventative and safe works to reduce future costs to the business
* Maintain a safe and presentable environment for staff, residents and family members
* Bring to the attention of Management Team any maintenance items which have serious implications for residents and/or the building
* Comply with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control
* Actively participate in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety
* Identify and report any health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace.
* Utilise personal protective equipment appropriately.
