Our client is recognised as one of Scotland's leading organisations, employing over 1,000 staff, operating within the Care sector.
As they enter another exciting period, they are looking to attract a positive, enthusiastic, and accomplished Senior Finance Assistant to assume responsibility for the following duties and responsibilities:
- Assist with the production of monthly management accounts, prepayments, and accruals
- Produce month end journals
- Manage Bank and Statement Reconciliations
- Process Direct Debit Files
- Provide support for the finance team
- Review and maintain the online filing systems
- Intercompany reconciliation
- Process Purchase Ledger Invoices and monthly supplier statement reconciliations
- Process Sales Ledger transactions
- Assist with Credit Control
- Post credit card receipts and manage expenses and credit card analysis
- Fixed asset and depreciation schedules and KPI data
- Audit preparation, ad hoc reporting analysis work
The successful candidate will likely possess the following skills, experience and personal attributes:
- Educated to degree or AAT level as a minimum requirement or qualified by experience
- Must have experience and knowledge of sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash book and payroll
- Experience in reconciliations and analysis
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills - Essential
- Working knowledge of Sage 200 and Sage 50 payroll - Desirable
- Ability to produce clear, accurate, timely reports
- Able to work as part of a team and autonomously
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
