Our client is recognised as one of Scotland's leading organisations, employing over 1,000 staff, operating within the Care sector.

As they enter another exciting period, they are looking to attract a positive, enthusiastic, and accomplished Senior Finance Assistant to assume responsibility for the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist with the production of monthly management accounts, prepayments, and accruals
  • Produce month end journals
  • Manage Bank and Statement Reconciliations
  • Process Direct Debit Files
  • Assist with Payroll
  • Provide support for the finance team
  • Prepare KPI reports
  • Review and maintain the online filing systems
  • Intercompany reconciliation
  • Process Purchase Ledger Invoices and monthly supplier statement reconciliations
  • Process Sales Ledger transactions
  • Assist with Credit Control
  • Post credit card receipts and manage expenses and credit card analysis
  • Fixed asset and depreciation schedules and KPI data
  • Audit preparation, ad hoc reporting analysis work

The successful candidate will likely possess the following skills, experience and personal attributes:

  • Educated to degree or AAT level as a minimum requirement or qualified by experience
  • Must have experience and knowledge of sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash book and payroll
  • Experience in reconciliations and analysis
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills - Essential
  • Working knowledge of Sage 200 and Sage 50 payroll - Desirable
  • Ability to produce clear, accurate, timely reports
  • Able to work as part of a team and autonomously
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
